Division Web Design
OUR PROCESS
What We Do
Division Web Design is a team of 6 individuals with a joy for design and helping people achieve their digital goals. We
specialize in web design, search engine optimization, digital design & digital marketing.
Established in 2017 we’ve helped over 100 businesses successfully launch and maintain their online presence. Our portfolio
includes restaurants, e-commerce shops, pharma companies, and non-profit organizations just to name a few.
We’ve worked with non-profit organizations in the past, so we understand the needs and the dedication you need to be
successful. Having families ourselves, we understand the importance of early-childhood development for the future
generation.
How We Work
80% of worldwide web traffic is generated from mobile devices. While doing a mobile design is essential, designing for all screen sizes is a requirement here in the U.S. The United States has about 60% of its web traffic through mobile devices. Here at Division, we use a responsive web development technique. Regardless of what screen size your clients have, they’ll get the best-looking view without making multiple sites for different devices.
Your website will be done in the following stages:
Research
The first step is to understand the business and its goals, the clientele, expectations and behavior, and how the website affects these behaviors. We’ll also look at the competitive landscape to establish context and benchmarks for how your site should function and improve it. This stage will give us the foundation for moving forward with just the right recommendations for your new website’s design and development.
Wireframe
Our Team creates responsive wireframes, allowing our clients to see how the wireframes look on any
device, as well as use feedback tools that allow you to give feedback directly on the wireframes.
While the wireframes are not nearly as detailed as the final site will be, they give us a visual
representation of the site’s overall layout.
Mockups
Once all site wireframes are approved, we proceed with our Responsive Mockups. These add color and a bit more detail to the initial wireframes, giving us a stronger visual representation of the final product.
Design
Once we collect all the information, we’ll design a layout that includes the following pages: Home, About, Menu, Contact, and any additional templates needed. The design can take anywhere up to 4 weeks to create. This is due to original design from our team. We design everything specifically to your business needs, whereas many agencies will use pre-made templates. Using prefabricated templates could run the risk of having similar websites as someone else and are not tailored to your business needs. Here at Division, you will have a one-of-a-kind, specifically designed website for your business.

Development
Throughout the design process, we will identify what content you will need to change and how often and come up with easily editable templates as well as a guide on how your team can make edits.
The second phase involves kicking off the technical side of the web design process. This will include deploying your CMS (wordpress), creating your custom theme and page designs, and setting up your website’s analytics.
Testing
Once we’ve finished our process, we will get to work testing your site’s performance and functionality. We’ll use various tools to benchmark your site for loading, responsiveness, speed, and security while also ensuring reliability on all web browsers and mobile devices alike. We have a 10 stage testing process that includes accessibility and GDPR compliance.
We Have a 10 step testing process that test for the following:
- Website functionality
- Usability
- UI/UX
- Compatibility
- Performance
- Security
- Change related
- Mobile-friendliness
- Accessibility
- Compliance
Hosting
After the website is reviewed and approved, we will begin the process of moving your website to a web host that suits your needs. We can discuss the option available after the completion of the website.
Search Engine Optimization
We will implement our initial SEO procedures to help rank you on Google with keywords. If you wish to be listed on Google’s top searches, we have SEO packages more advanced to help with these procedures.
Here’s how our initial SEO procedures work:
- Create a sitemap (to help search engine bots scrub through your site).
- Use tools such as Google Analytics, MozBar, Keyword Planner, and more.
- Submitting the website to search engine directories.
- And many more techniques. (It’s a long list that is better to discuss in person).
